13, 14 I'm getting a new sewing machine!

Tank: Hand me down from mom // Skirt: Homemade // Shoes: Urban Outfitters //  Earrings: Gift

Jacket: Nordstroms // Tank: Target // Jeans: American Eagle // Shoes: American Eagle //  Necklace: Street vendor in Taipei
Happy Saturday to you all! I am so happy that I am getting back into the swing of things, especially my blog. I miss it and all of you. I also am so sorry that I have not got my 2nd giveaway up. I have not forgotten about it. I was thinking of making a skirt for the giveaway. I have just ordered a new sewing machine and it will be here by the end of next week. I am so excited about it. My current machine was my mom's that she bought back in the 80's. Oh to be able to sew knits and a straight line, I am pretty giddy inside. To celebrate my new machine and reaching 30 followers (lets make it 40 followers!!) I will custom make a skirt ( just like the one in the first outfit, not the same fabric though...all out). Keep your eyes out for my second giveaway post!

11, 12 go out and free an elf

See my little friend behind me, he's the local fox
Vest: Borrowed from sister // Tee: Target // Shorts: Thrifted and altered // Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Sunnies: Boutique in Crested Butte // Earrings: H&M
Romper: Forever 21 // Vest: Thrifted // Bangles: Forever 21 // Sunnies: Forever 21 // Mocs: Thrifted
This little post title is inspired from Harry Potter, which I am pretty pumped to go see this weekend (hopefully). Any of you guys already see it last night at a midnight showing? This is a time I wish I lived in a city, would love to see it in Imax 3D. That would be AWESOME! I am a very big nerd. Which I guess if you follow me, you already know.

The first outfit is from the 4th of July. I had planned on wearing my white and blue striped cropped tee, but my mom said it looked black and I had to be patriotic. I thought I was cheating by adding my sister's vest, but I did the math and recounted my items. Even after adding a dress and skirt, removing a pair of jeans, and switching out some shoes, I had a blank spot. So even though you won't see this very cute vest again (it went back to Vegas with my sister), it's my 30th item. I'm very proud of myself so far in this challenge. The second outfit is not my favorite, but as Kendi always says, "At least I'm not naked."

9, 10 will this challenge ever end?

Dress: from a boutique in Sydney, Australia // Top: Modcloth // Shoes: Thrifted // Sunnies: Forever 21
Earrings:  Street vendor in Taipei

Tank: Hand me down // Skirt: Thrifted // Shoes: Sam Edelman // Sunnies: Forever 21
So, I am almost done with the challenge. I only have a week left but I am so far behind on posting and taking pictures. To be honest, I can't wait to get back to taking just regular outfit pics. But I do this challenge to learn and to appreciate my clothes. That I do, I really love my closet. It's not perfect and it's not complete, but it is mine and it really represents me.

I really love the first outfit on this post. I threw it together at the last minute. The Modcloth cropped tee has to be one of my favorite items in my 30. It truly goes with everything.

Gosh, I can't believe it's already Friday tomorrow. Hope you all had a great week! Anyone have any good outfit recommendations with my 30 items?

Who's the preschool teacher? Pretty nerdy post title and I plan to continue it till I am caught up with pictures for the challenge. 2 down, 10 to go. I have a lot of catching up to do. So, I want to mention a few things about this round of 30 for 30 challenge. Before I started the challenge I promised myself that I wouldn't let it be as stressful as the first time I did it. I have switched out a couple items, wide leg jeans (I hadn't worn them yet, i do miss them though) and the shoes I am wearing in the first outfit of this post (they are too big on me and I just can't wear them anymore). I have added a blue dress, a new pair of sandals, and I made a skirt (but, I had saved a spot for that since the beginning). I'll post pics of those tomorrow. See you again tomorrow (promise!). Miss you all!

a little break

Dress: Borrowed from my friend Emily (Urban Outfitters) // Blazer: Anthropologie // Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Jewelry: Forever 21

I know, I know, I am a total slacker in the blogging world. I don't know how some of you do it. I haven't had any time over the last few weeks to get a serious post up or even really be on the computer, its been killing me. This post is a break from the 30 for 30, I attended a friends wedding last night and though I had planned on my dress being a part of my 30 items I have decided not to make it. I'll talk more about the challenge in my next post, a lot to update about that. The Smith-Davey wedding was beautiful and we all had a blast. Though the weather was rainy, damp, and cold it was still perfect. Adrienne, you looked amazing, and so did you, Garrett. Congrats guys, I am so happy for the both you! Thanks for sharing your incredibly special day with us.
