Tank: Hand me down from mom // Skirt: Homemade // Shoes: Urban Outfitters //  Earrings: Gift

Jacket: Nordstroms // Tank: Target // Jeans: American Eagle // Shoes: American Eagle //  Necklace: Street vendor in Taipei
Happy Saturday to you all! I am so happy that I am getting back into the swing of things, especially my blog. I miss it and all of you. I also am so sorry that I have not got my 2nd giveaway up. I have not forgotten about it. I was thinking of making a skirt for the giveaway. I have just ordered a new sewing machine and it will be here by the end of next week. I am so excited about it. My current machine was my mom's that she bought back in the 80's. Oh to be able to sew knits and a straight line, I am pretty giddy inside. To celebrate my new machine and reaching 30 followers (lets make it 40 followers!!) I will custom make a skirt ( just like the one in the first outfit, not the same fabric though...all out). Keep your eyes out for my second giveaway post!

a little break

Dress: Borrowed from my friend Emily (Urban Outfitters) // Blazer: Anthropologie // Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Jewelry: Forever 21

I know, I know, I am a total slacker in the blogging world. I don't know how some of you do it. I haven't had any time over the last few weeks to get a serious post up or even really be on the computer, its been killing me. This post is a break from the 30 for 30, I attended a friends wedding last night and though I had planned on my dress being a part of my 30 items I have decided not to make it. I'll talk more about the challenge in my next post, a lot to update about that. The Smith-Davey wedding was beautiful and we all had a blast. Though the weather was rainy, damp, and cold it was still perfect. Adrienne, you looked amazing, and so did you, Garrett. Congrats guys, I am so happy for the both you! Thanks for sharing your incredibly special day with us.

I am very behind on posting these days. I promise I have not forgotten you or the challenge. I am still taking photos each day, just having a very hard time finding a balance between this blog, my job, my child, my boyfriend, my family, my home, and summer right now. Not going to say much more, but am going to make a small promise to get better posts up very soon!

Happy 4th of July weekend! Any one have special plans? I know mine is going to be a blast!

Saturdays

Tank: Urban Outfitters // Cami: Hand-me-down // Skirt: Urban Outfitters // Shoes: Thrifted // Bag: Thrifted
Jewelry: Forever 21

I did it! Two posts in one day. Giving myself a pat on the back, yay me! Today, I got to hang out with my sister and her family. We rode our bikes down to the little lake, hung out for awhile and snapped a few outfit pics. Later, after the boys' naps, we had a water balloon fight, took the kids to the park and went to get ice cream. It was a perfect summer Saturday. Have I mentioned how much I love summer? I am now exhausted. Good night to you all!

I can't believe it's been almost a whole week since my last post. What a week. I came down with an awful cold on Monday. I even took a sick day on Tuesday, which I never do. I finally started feeling better around Thursday, but it didn't matter since it had been snowing all week. Snow. In late May. The weather has been crazy here. I still got dressed all week with some pretty cute outfits if I say so. No photos though. I refused to go outside in the dumping snow and in our little casa there is really nowhere to take a decent photo. Finally, the sun came out today. The beautiful, warm, bright sun graced us with her presence. I don't know how people live in places where it rains most the year. I couldn't do it. We usually have more sunny days than not, but not this year.  I can't wait for summer, I have so many skirts and outfits planned for the warmer days.

I am very excited to share with you my new shoes. I got them off Urban Outfitters on sale for $20. They are a slight knock off of Swedish Hasbeens, which I adore but simply do not have the money for. I was very excited when I found these. I love them. They go with everything! Got to love that. I love the simplicity of this outfit. This is something I struggle with viewing all the other amazing personal style blogs out there. So many people have different styles from me and I try to recreate their outfits and it's just not me. I am really learning my own style and how to stay true to it. I love simple styles that are a little bit funky or have a small twist to them. Don't get me wrong, I still love a more complicated look sometimes, but over all I tend to feel more comfortable in more effortless looks.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I promise to bring you more outfit posts throughout the week. Leave you now with a Dexter outfit pic. Just received these lovely shorts from my sis. I wish they came in my size, they are awesome.
